Day I of this year’s Weltturbojugendtage…
was a blast!
Starting off slowly by meeting friends, having drinks and enjoying the sunshine on St. Pauli’s Spielbudenplatz for Tiki Thursday. So many Sailorettes and Sailors turned up! It was a joy to see the colorful crowd in denim.
Besides the meeting outside on the Reeperbahn, Alban opened the doors of his famous bar Hausverbot for the Sexy Sailor*rette photoshoot which ended up in a frenzy of drinking beer and Saint Ginger and hugging friends. It was adorable!
Plaiins, Maid of Ace and Bokassa
In the early evening the shenanigans at the Molotow started. And how they started with the gig of Plaiins! What a great band! Rocking incredibly hard and being the loveliest bunch of dudes!
They were followed by the mighty Maid of Ace! These young women are made of pure power! Holy shit! They are living proof that there is no need for testosterone fueled rock attitudes. Thank you for being such an amazing band!
Finally Bokassa entered the stage. What the hell? After having seen two really good bands, Bokassa managed to raise the bar yet another time!
After being rocked so hard for hours all the sailorettes and sailors were released into St. Pauli’s nightlife …
